Outdoor furniture for outdoor eating
Creating an outdoor room generally includes a grilling and dining area, pulled together with a hearth product, such as a fireplace, fire-pit or chimney. Some really upscale outdoor rooms are similar to indoor kitchens, with tiled counter space and food preparation areas complete with sinks and plumbing. It is even possible to use your greenhouse to add a dishwasher and a refrigerator which removes the need for all those trips inside. Other outdoor rooms take the concept further with the addition of pizza ovens, cocktail bars, fountains, trellises, patio heaters, hot tubs and pools.
As climate warms, more and more people are extending the comfort and luxury of their homes into the great outdoors. Of course we do not have a climate that allows us to do this all year round, but even so, breakfast can often be eaten outdoors at weekends as well as summer evenings spent barbecuing. Not all of us can afford to plumb in a sink either, but if you buy a large bowl - a baby's bath is brilliant for this - and tuck it out of sight near the barbecue area, you can fill it with warm soapy water and put all the dishes and utensils into it. Most of the hard work is then done and you can simply carry it indoors at the end of the evening, put the crockery in the dishwasher or give it a quick final rinse in the sink. No carrying in and out and no big piled of plates with baked on grime to be removed
