Why Choosing Gazebo?
Garden decoration changed in line with the more labor saving and naturalistic approaches of the Arts and Crafts movement. Statues, which had been everywhere in nineteenth-century gardens, were replaced with terracotta pots and urns. Garden structures that had previously been used for screening, like lattices, arbors, and pergolas were used now as both decoration and as plant supports and, instead of being stained with dark or black pigments, were often painted green to further connect and blend them with nature.
The gazebo became the major architectural component of Arts and Crafts gardens. This was because these large, open and airy structures were connected to the home and served as trellises for spreading vines, thus creating an outdoor room and this blending of indoor and outdoor space was used in particular for musical entertainments in the new Arts and Crafts form, that is, people singing simple songs or reading aloud or even playing the gramophone rather than the Victorian formality of gathering around the piano. Furniture included porch and gardens suites, benches, tables, and lawn swings with details like slat backs and sides that were borrowed from the missionary photographs being sent home from the Middle and
To achieve this effect at home, paint trellis, gazebos and so on, with a soft green paint and add details such as large ceramic vases in pastel colors, pink and green fringed throws and mother of pearl colored pots to emphasize the furniture effects.
